On August 26th 2014, Model Westminster was joined by the Low Pay Commission at
the Department forBusiness, Innovation and Skills. The event saw 40 students from across
London look in to the future of the national minimum wage and the upcoming
changes to the minimum wage in October 2014. The students participated in a range of activities and
evidence collecting sessions. The sessions ranged from a debate to a restructuring challenge on the
nature of employment and wages to a design challenge focusing
on the Low-Pay Crisis of London.
